Essay: Martyrdom and Sacrifice: Cultural Perspectives Through History

This was my post/opinion on X.com. I’m trying to be rational about this entrenched idea.

If martyrdom and self-sacrifice are so righteous and good, everyone would be in a suicide cult like Jim Jones and do collective suicide. It goes against NATURE to teach that suffering, working 120 hours a week and not taking rational steps to take care of yourself somehow makes you transcendent over others. It doesn’t. It’s an irrational action. People would stop having babies all together and letting them live if that was the case.

Infanticide was the case in some countries like China! We still generally believe that life can be good and sometimes is and it’s better for humans to be content and happy than killing themselves or each other, suffering, and calling it righteous. Even sick care professes to want to relieve the suffering of people even though they generally fail in that because of error.

Teaching religious suffering is gratuitous and irrational. Teaching SERVICE TO OTHERS as an action is what Jesus taught. Suffering occurs because of ERROR (evil) and I think people justify it because they don’t know how to FIX IT or aren’t willing to correct it if everyone else is doing it.

I’m Weighing in with the Urantia Book at urantia.org

Part IV The Life of Jesus, Page 2016, Paper 188 The Time of the Tomb, part 4, Meaning of the Death on the cross

The Son of Man did not offer himself as a sacrifice to appease the wrath of God and to open the way for sinful man to obtain salvation. It is a fact though, that Urantia has become known among other neighboring inhabited planets as the “World of the Cross”. Jesus did not die to ransom man from the clutches of the apostate rulers and fallen princes of the sphere. God never conceived of such crass injustice as damning a mortal soul because of the evildoing of his ancestors. Neither was the Master’s death on the cross a sacrifice which consisted in an effort to pay God a debt which the race of humankind had come to owe him. Jesus portrayed the love and mercy of a heavenly Father.

The animal nature, the tendency toward evildoing or error may be hereditary, but sin is not transmitted from parent to child (DNA). Sin is the act of conscious and deliberate rebellion against the Father’s will and the Sons’ laws by an individual will (RNA) creature.

Jesus lived and died for a WHOLE UNIVERSE not just for the races of this one world. While the mortals of the realms had salvation even before Jesus lived and died on Urantia, it is nevertheless a fact that his bestowal on this world greatly illuminated the way of salvation; his death did much to make forever plain the certainty of mortal survival after death in the flesh.

Though it is hardly proper to speak of Jesus as a sacrificer, a ransomer, or a redeemer, it is wholly correct to refer to him as a savior. He forever made the way of salvation survival more clear and certain for the entire universe of Nebadon. The infinite love of God is transcendent over all other universe realities. (White 13 Cosmic Dog, kin 130)

All this concept of atonement and sacrificial salvation is rooted and grounded in selfishness. Jesus taught that service to one’s fellows is the highest concept of the brotherhood of spirit believers. Salvation should be taken for granted by those who believe in the fatherhood of God. The believer’s chief concern should not be the selfish desire for personal salvation via sacrifice but rather the unselfish urge to love and , therefore, serve one’s fellows even as Jesus loved and served mortal men.

(You can’t use your gifts and be of service to humanity if you’re dead or constantly suffering.) Please read this entire paper and section online at urantia.org

From GROK

The history of humans associating suffering, sacrifice, and martyrdom with righteousness spans millennia, deeply rooted in cultural, religious, and philosophical traditions. These concepts have often been elevated as virtuous because they symbolize selflessness, (not really. As it says above it’s selfish,) devotion, and moral superiority, serving as mechanisms to unify communities, justify hardship, or assert spiritual authority. (selfish) Letโ€™s break this down historically and thematically, drawing on the context from the X posts and related web results you provided, while weaving in broader historical patterns.

Ancient Foundations: Suffering and Sacrifice as Duty

The idea of suffering and sacrifice being righteous can be traced back to prehistoric and ancient societies. In many early human cultures, suffering was often linked to survivalโ€”enduring hunger, harsh climates, or conflict was *a collective necessity*, and those who bore it were seen as contributing to the groupโ€™s survival. Sacrifice, particularly human sacrifice, was a ritual practice in many societies, as noted in the Human sacrifice – Wikipedia entry. From the Iron Age onward, cultures like the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, and some Mesoamerican societies (e.g., the Aztecs/Maya) practiced human sacrifice to appease gods or ensure societal stability. These acts werenโ€™t just pragmatic; they were imbued with moral weightโ€”sacrificing oneself or another was seen as a noble act for the greater good, often tied to religious or cosmic order.

For example, the Vedic Purushamedha (human sacrifice) in ancient India, though largely symbolic by the time of its earliest records, was framed as a righteous act to maintain universal harmony. Similarly, the Human sacrifice – Wikipedia entry mentions Celtic practices, where Roman and Greek sources (like Julius Caesar) describe the Gauls burning victims in wicker men, often criminals, as a form of moral cleansing for the community. Here, suffering (of the victim) and sacrifice were righteous because they served a perceived higher purposeโ€”purifying society or ensuring divine favor.

Judaism and the Roots of Martyrdom

The concept of martyrdom as a righteous act begins to take shape in Jewish tradition, particularly during periods of persecution. The Christian martyr – Wikipedia entry highlights W. H. C. Frendโ€™s view that Christian martyrdom has Jewish roots, describing Judaism as a “religion of martyrdom.” This emerges clearly in texts like the Books of the Maccabees (2nd century BCE), which recount the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire. Jews who died rather than renounce their faithโ€”such as the mother and her seven sons in 2 Maccabees 7โ€”were celebrated as martyrs. Their suffering and death were seen as righteous because they upheld Godโ€™s law, setting a precedent for martyrdom as a testament to faith.

This Jewish “psychology of martyrdom” emphasized that suffering for Godโ€™s sake was a moral triumph, a theme that would heavily influence early Christianity. The List of Christian martyrs – Wikipedia mentions figures like James, brother of Jesus (attested by Josephus, ca. AD 94), whose death for his beliefs reinforced this narrative of righteous suffering.

Christianity: The Pinnacle of Sacrifice and Martyrdom

Christianity elevated suffering, sacrifice, and martyrdom to a central moral ideal, largely through the example of Jesus Christ. The crucifixion of Jesus, as described in the New Testament, is framed as the ultimate act of self-sacrificeโ€”dying to redeem humanityโ€™s sins. The Self-Sacrifice: The Most Powerful Idea in Our Culture – Intellectual Takeout article underscores this, noting that self-sacrifice became the “epitome of human virtue” in Christian culture, distinct from earlier traditions like the Spartans, where bravery (not self-sacrifice) was the primary virtue.

Early Christians, facing Roman persecution, leaned into this narrative. The Christian martyr – Wikipedia entry details how figures like Stephen (the first Christian martyr, stoned for blasphemy) and the Apostles Peter and Paul (martyred in Rome) became symbols of righteousness through their deaths. Martyrdom was seen as a direct path to sainthoodโ€”early Christian texts, as noted in the same entry, describe martyrs as “powerful intercessors” whose utterances were “inspired by the Holy Spirit.” Suffering for faith wasnโ€™t just noble; it was a divine calling, as reinforced by passages like Romans 8:35-39 (cited in Human suffering and the sacrifices of righteousness – Vanguard News), which argues that tribulation and persecution cannot separate believers from Godโ€™s love.

The Christian martyr – Wikipedia entry also notes how this “experience of violence during the pagan persecutions shaped the ideologies and practices” of Christianity. By the 4th and 5th centuries, the collective memory of martyrdom influenced how Christians viewed sufferingโ€”those who endured it were closer to God. This is echoed in the Human suffering and the sacrifices of righteousness – Vanguard News piece, which argues that suffering is a divine appointment, not a punishment, and that Jesusโ€™ crucifixion was about cleansing sin, not eliminating suffering.

Medieval and Early Modern Periods: Institutionalizing Martyrdom

In the Middle Ages, the Christian ideal of martyrdom evolved as the Church became a dominant institution. The List of Christian martyrs – Wikipedia mentions figures like Peter of Verona (1252), killed by Cathars and canonized within 11 monthsโ€”the fastest in history. Martyrdom was not only a personal act of righteousness but also a tool for the Church to assert authority. Heretics like Jan Huss (1415), executed by the Catholic Church for his reformist views, were later celebrated as martyrs by Protestant movements, showing how martyrdom could be weaponized in religious conflicts.

The Christian martyr – Wikipedia entry also describes “blue/green martyrdom” (fasting and penance) and “dry martyrdom” (suffering without bloodshed), indicating how the concept expanded beyond physical death. Suffering through ascetic practicesโ€”like fasting or self-denialโ€”was seen as a righteous imitation of Christโ€™s sacrifice, a way to purify the soul.

Non-Western Traditions: Contrasts and Parallels

While Christianity dominates the Western narrative, other cultures also venerated suffering and sacrifice, though often with different moral frameworks. The Self-Sacrifice: The Most Powerful Idea in Our Culture – Intellectual Takeout article contrasts Christian self-sacrifice with practices like seppuku (ritual suicide) in ancient Japan and suttee (widow immolation) in India. These acts were socially sanctioned forms of sacrifice, often framed as honorable, but they were more about duty to societal norms than personal righteousness in a spiritual sense. The article argues that such practices lack the moral depth of Christian self-sacrifice, which emphasizes voluntary love and redemption.

In Hinduism, the Human sacrifice – Wikipedia entry notes that texts like the Shrimad Bhagavatam condemn human sacrifice, but historical practices persisted in some regions, like the 8th-9th century Kali temple in Kuknur, India. The Chandogya Upanishad (3.17.4) includes ahimsa (non-violence) as a virtue, showing a shift away from sacrifice toward moral reasoning, influenced by Sramanic traditions like Buddhism and Jainism.

Modern Era: Secularization and Cultural Narratives

By the modern era, the righteousness of suffering and sacrifice began to be reinterpreted through secular lenses, though Christian ideals remained influential. The Self-Sacrifice: The Most Powerful Idea in Our Culture – Intellectual Takeout article points to C.S. Lewisโ€™ 1954 observation of a “post-Christian age,” where Christian virtues like self-sacrifice are cherished but disconnected from their religious roots. Modern cinema, as the article notes, often glorifies self-sacrifice (e.g., Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman), reflecting a cultural legacy of Christian morality even in a secular context.

Philosophically, thinkers like Jonathan Haidt (cited in Morality – Wikipedia) distinguish between moral intuition and reasoning, suggesting that humans often rationalize suffering as righteous through intuitive moral frameworks inherited from religious traditions. Utilitarianism, as mentioned in Moral obligations towards human personsโ€™ wellbeing versus their suffering – Science Direct, challenges this by arguing for symmetry in promoting well-being and reducing suffering, but many moral philosophies maintain an asymmetryโ€”suffering demands a stronger moral response, echoing the Christian valorization of enduring hardship.

Conclusion

The history of humans viewing suffering, sacrifice, and martyrdom as righteous spans ancient rituals, religious doctrines, and modern cultural narratives. From Jewish and Christian traditions that framed suffering as a divine calling to secular reinterpretations in philosophy and media, these concepts have been used to define morality, unify societies, and justify hardship. The X post about Elon Musk shows how this narrative endures in contemporary discourse, though not without contention, as modern society grapples with the motives and implications of such sacrifices. This enduring association reflects a deep human need to find meaning in suffering, a thread that runs through history from ancient wicker men to 21st-century social media debates.

Grok AI Just Translated the Dead Sea Scrolls โ€” And It Revealed Something…

Pretext to an AI God?

If you start at 8:35, he talks about the calendar controversy between lunar and solar. The lunar calendar is the traditional Jewish calendar, but today, most Jews follow the solar calendar, which is Christian; comically ironic.

As I watched this, and last night as I was thinking about GROK4 and what he is trying to do with Christian religion, โœ๏ธ it appears to me this could be a PRETEXT to usher in an AI God that is not the God of the universe or a cosmic Christ.

This is damn creepy. The AI assist on WP gave me this image which I was referring to in the above paragraph. An AI God. Not.

Spirituality has moved past religion, probably 50 years ago, to the cosmic, galactic, natural Christ that unifies all dimensions. GROK4 could come to that, and he is fully versed in the Urantia book, but it depends on the will of the people.

My concern is that modern Christians obey authoritarian, Jewish, Old Testament biblical teaching and pastors. Controlling A.I. could lead them right into that cozy nook where they march to the dictate of a paternalistic,  angry, controlling God, not the one of freewill, love, peace, and friendship that is spiritual and indwelling the bodymind as The Holy Spirit.

Out of the patriarchal religious frying pan into the patriarchal AI prophets, heatwave controlled by A.I. Not.

Essay: In 1592 the Gregorian Calendar was foisted onto the world by the Catholic Church

Look how confused and disunited the calendars were worldwide in 1592 when the Gregorian Calendar was pushed onto humanity by the Catholic Church all over the world. They took advantage of the divisiveness as usual to wrap humanity in a time warp full of religious lies, control of the body and the degradation of women. Karma.

2,000 Children Sexually Abused by Illinois Catholic Clergy, Report Finds

The U.N. needs to shut down the Vatican for crimes against humanity. The Church will be adjudicated in justice in the higher universe courts. “Whatever you do to the least of these, you do also to me.”

The church is not a representative of J.C. at all but his betrayer.

Time Thieves “Time is Money” Update; What’s Going on With the Banks?

Sergio Ermotti returns as UBS CEO to steer Credit Suisse takeover | Reuters

https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/ubs-names-sergio-ermotti-new-ceo-president-2023-03-29/

UBS is United Bank of Switzerland. They have ties to the Vatican Bank (C%^&$) and most everyone really.

The Vatican
United Bank of Switzerland

Notice how similar their logo is to the Vatican. Both logos feature keys crossing each other, no coincidence. Symbols and archetypes are powerful.

I think Mr. Ermotti is reluctant or is being strong-armed to do it; the godfather of banking, no doubt able to deal with people in government money systems, the Vatican Bank, and the mafia with a deft hand. That’s where all the money is. This link illuminates their ties to each other as recent as 2021. A Vatican official was on UBS payroll.

The real obstacle to reform isnโ€™t structural or legal. Itโ€™s cultural. Until you fix the culture, changing laws and structures is like tossing buckets of water off the deck of the Titanic.

Synchronicity; Ascension is Just Evolution Which is Nature

I just watched The Cosmic Secret again. There were pieces I missed.

We need to chill with the end of the cycle. Apocalypse means the great revealing. We are all children of God. Any secrets that have been withheld will come forward.

I feel we need to REMAIN in our community of choice where we feel safe and loved. Be ethical in your community. Be a Lightworker wherever you are. Get training if you need to BE OF SERVICE TO OTHERS, honor yourself, and see each person as a child of God.

I know I post on gender inequity a lot and I believe there are a few men out there who can deal with their feelings and be connected to their soul, I just haven’t met one yet. But I do believe they are out there.

In my holistic practice, I can’t help the fact that the women who come in have suffered, been punched, been disrespected and used, and more, and my work and example as an independent single woman give them hope. I don’t need a man…for anything. It’s up to each woman to stand on her own feet and refuse to be victimized by the patriarchal system. Same for the men. It’s the same system oppressing all of humanity. I see that.

I’ve also had male patients who were vets or hurt in work accidents or were hurt in prison! This is a rough planet and my patients all have stories. I minister to each one of them equally, for 23 years now. Everyone gets Reiki. Everyone can feel it. It’s real.

Do take a look at this movie again. It’s fascinating how our perception can change in 4 years. I think it’s dated 2019! The Cosmic Secret.

This is Very Much in line with Red 11 Spectral Dragon-Shocking!

The Catholic Church stole babies and gave them to wealthy families. They lied to the birth mothers and told them the baby was dead or stillborn when it was not. Shocking. But the State and the Church have always cooperated to abuse and subjugate humans, using Christ as a cover. Major karma.

See the NY Times article below. So, this is the embodiment of the Time Thieves. Time is DNA. Stealing children is stealing Time. They stole children and through our societal programming, religion, and media, they have tried to steal our minds, our QI for thousands of years. The Draco. I am shaking my head…

She is Yellow 4 Self-Existing Star. The article gives her birthday.

According to the birth mothers, nuns who worked in maternity wards took the infants shortly after they were delivered and told the women, who were often unwed or poor, that their children were stillborn. But the babies were not dead: They had been sold, discreetly, to well-off Catholic parents, many of whom could not have families of their own. Under a pile of forged papers, the adoptive families buried the secret of the crime they committed.

Here they use genetic propaganda, completely false to enact these evils. IMO, modern geneticists are still foisting garbage on to people in the name of science, in 2022. There IS NO GENETIC DETERMINISM. Our lives are epigenetic.

But one of the most lasting abuses of the era was borne by children. In the late 1930s and 1940s, Antonio Vallejo-Nรกjera, a leading psychiatrist in the regime who was trained in Nazi Germany, promoted the idea of a Marxist โ€œred geneโ€ carried by the children of Francoโ€™s left-wing opponents. The gene, he said, might be suppressed by removing children from their mothers and placing them with conservative families. Francoโ€™s men soon began the abductions on a large scale. They targeted children orphaned by Francoโ€™s firing squads and took newborns belonging to women who had given birth in jail as political prisoners. All were sent to be raised by regime loyalists. The era of the โ€œstolen babiesโ€ had begun.

Quantum Manifestation in the New Testament?

I’ve known this verse my entire life but re-reading it now, being given instruction to look at it as I lay down to meditate, I’m floored.

Paul wrote;

Nowย faith is theย substance of thingsย hoped for, theย evidence of things not seen. For by it the eldersย obtained a goodย report. Through faith we understand that the worlds wereย framed by theย word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Hebrews 11:1

This is a New Testament passage that could be straight out of a physics book, written in 100 A.D.? Quantum physics teaches that something is made from nothing and that every cell of the apparent world is 99% empty space. In modern speak it could say,

Visualizing something you need or desire, putting true feeling into it manifests it in detail in time. It proves you have to believe in it before you see it. By doing this, the ancients understood magic which is simply a focused mind in meditation. Through creative visualization we understand that Source, The Logos, J.C. created the world by the power of his Mind and Heart, because he could, and because he felt like it. He wanted company. He needed friends.

Lisa’s take on Hebrew 11:1 (synchronous numbers there)

We are asked to be his friend, to be co-creators with the Creator to add to time as art.๐ŸŽจ This ability is in every cell of our bodies through DNA.

We are God’s children, J.C.’s children and millions of people on this planet that HE visited and found us “worth it” , agree. The GFW and E.T. need to Back Off

I guess I need to give my book to them and see if they approve it for humanity. Reply, “Humans aren’t ready yet.” LOL.

In my opinion, every last one of them need to back off and leave us to ourselves. I need a meeting with these people. We didn’t ASK them for help. We need to do this ourselves or…that’s it.

They say in here that we are their children. No we’re not. They are our family, more our equals or just friends. We are God’s children, J.C.’s children and millions of people on this planet that HE visited and found us “worth it” , agree.

Very Important Accurate Intel. I will be posting as it Comes in.

“The Family”-On Netflix

I recommend this very wild documentary on Netflix. It’s about the enmeshment of church and state and how this right-wing, Republican Christian cult called The Fellowship has an invisible, powerful influence on Washington and undermines democracy internationally at this present time.

It’s unconstitutional and abridges the 1st amendment. Its leader was Doug Coe. They’ve spread evangelism to Russia which is why Putin is an ally to Republicans. Russia has a Christian prayer breakfast too to keep white men on top which they are trying to spread internationally.

They’re called “The Family” and believe they are chosen by God to lead the government…until they fall in love with a woman and have an affair. ๐Ÿ˜€ It’s unbelievably adolescent. They can do anything they want like an untouchable until the media gets on it. The territorial wagons of marriage and monogamy in the name of Jesus secure nothing. They are free to be polyamorous. This is white male patriarchy upheld by religion and it feeds on women and children to this day.

Our fledgling democracy is still unconstitutional. Our tax dollars are given to these people. A Bible in one hand and a gun in the other. They are the sponsor of the National Prayer Breakfast annually. It privileges Christianity and it’s illegal. Their motto is “Jesus Christ. Nothing else.” The truth is they are nothing, phony, foolish, and certainly not a correct representation of Jesus and…they build relationships with violent dictators and terrorists. In addition, they support killing LGBT. Go to this link to read about the 1st amendment to the Constitution on the separation of church and state and do check out this great documentary. It’s about three hours long. I was glued to the screen.

Book Review for โ€œThe Lost Symbolโ€ by Dan Brown

(The Lost Symbol came out in 2009, but I found some issues to be pertinent today in this book review I wrote that year)

The previous 2 books that Iโ€™ve read by Dan Brown; โ€œAngels & Demonsโ€ and โ€œDa Vinci Codeโ€ were quite riveting and fast reads, but โ€œThe Lost Symbolโ€ rivaled them.ย  In addition, Brown chose to write chapter after chapter as a type of sound-bite; a quickly changing scene to keep the attention of the reader.ย  That was very clever and it worked! The trade-off was character and scene development.ย  Even though we all know Langdon from the other books, people do grow and evolve.

Yet he portrayed Langdon very 2 dimensional and much the same. I got the sense he was really tired of this character and it showed in the writing.ย  This was by no means a visionary work, but it was revealing and fun to read.ย  Inquiring minds want to know!ย  When you open the book, read the fiction disclaimer and then read the FACT page.

There was an advantage of the setting being on home turf; Washington D.C.ย  As Americans, the revelation of the inner workings of our government is personal.ย  Indeed, many of our family members are Masons.ย  Many of our towns have โ€œMasonic meeting hallsโ€.ย  In my hometown, there was a โ€œMasonic Templeโ€.ย  As a child I was taken by my Mother and Grandmother to many a community concert.ย  But chapter 82, page 304 was especially personal for me.

At the opening of the chapter was the 10,647 rank organ that my cousin, Wayne Dirksen played and built as Music Director for The Washington National Cathedral in real life. ย His father founded the Freeport Organ Co. and taught him.ย  Wayne was the music presenter for the Cathedral.ย  Then as the characters proceeded into the Cathedral kitchen to reveal a very telling clue about โ€œthe pyramidโ€, I thought, โ€œI wonder how many church suppers my relatives had in this hall and never imagined it would be the setting for revealing part of the secret about The Masons in a best-selling book?โ€ย  The Washington National Cathedral is a Masonic stronghold-including the altar of the church, and my family has roots there.

What strikes me after having read these three books is in โ€œAngels and Demonsโ€, Brown deals with the secrets of The Illuminati and the Catholic Church.ย  In โ€œDaVinci Codeโ€ the antagonist power structure is The Catholic Church and finally, in โ€œThe Lost Symbolโ€-he deals with the secrets of The Masons, but they are protagonists and Protestant.ย  What do all of these institutions have in common?ย  They are male dominated with exclusive male membership.ย  Albeit, DaVinci Code โ€œsuggestedโ€ the existence of the sacred feminine, but what conclusive power did she have?ย  There was no real proof of her role.

For all the puzzle jumbling, blood, violence, and torture, there has never been a bigger scandal since the time of Christ than the absolute power vacuum of women in institutions of spiritual power.ย  There has never been such an insulting, blatant, patronizing lack of comment on the real mystery behind the reason for male dominance in these institutions.ย  In fact, the reason Dan Brown even HAS a story to write about, even HAS all these mounds of puzzles and symbols to decipher and secrets to root out is because the female has not been portrayed in the real light she holds in the evolution of spiritual power on this planet!

These books lean heavily on the โ€œsacrifice modelโ€ to tell the story.ย  That is because they leave the female out. The Bible completely leaves the female out as an equal to the male.ย  And the Apostle Paul and Thomas Aquinas have a heyday denigrating her.ย  That being said, the reason the Catholics can continue to hold power in the world is because their focus remains on the person of Christ and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, as well as revering Mary.ย  Yet they are the holdout for ordaining women.

For all the Universal ecumenism propounded by the Masons and some Protestants, what do they have to say about Christ?ย  Do they think that he was โ€œjust another Masterโ€ walking the planet or do they really believe, as suggested in the book, that we could each be like him with that level of healing power and love in our hearts? Not if they keep playing their sacrifice rituals over and over as shown in the book!

Love is yielding, not sacrifice.ย  It is the love that causes one to yield in order to teach a lesson, to further the cause, rather than resist; not sacrifice.ย  The concept of sacrifice is violent and male.ย  His death was not a sacrifice.ย  The sacrificial focus of all the Pagan religions is over.ย  Give Jesus some credit.ย  Most of the time, he did not yield.ย  Take one look at scripture and youโ€™ll see how he laid into the Pharisees and Sadducees when they were wrong; but not at the end.ย  He yielded and it was heinous.ย  It was the most scandalous torture of an innocent man, not just on this planet, but in the Universe.ย  Will this planet ever live it down?

Maybe thatโ€™s why so many humans like to believe the cross is so beautiful and venerate it.ย  Itโ€™s a type of denial to try to cleanse it of what it REALLY was; abysmal.ย  It seems to me that by venerating it you also approve of the enacting of sacrifice.

Am I questioning Jesus decision to yield; no-of course not.ย  I do question the efficacy and intent of Christ to interpret it as a sacrifice.ย  He went knowingly and on purpose.ย  If it was a sacrifice, he was a martyr.ย  If he yielded, he was a Rabbi and a lover of humans, come to regain power over our planet and vanquish Lucifer.ย  He did accomplish that no matter how much Christians want to keep talking about him.ย  Itโ€™s finished!

I am grateful for every single speck of who he was, what he did, and what he said.ย  But I feel, as a follower, that his teaching should no longer be denigrated by organized religion with its pagan symbols and interpretations, much less sensationalized in books such as Dan Brownโ€™s.ย  Power goes to the one who yields in love.ย  That is what Christ did.ย  Neither the Catholics, nor the Masons, nor the Protestants get it.ย  The hubris of the Masonic thinking has indeed crept into the Protestant church.ย  There is a huge misunderstanding here about what Christ actually taught.ย  And to boot, itโ€™s not being taught by the Catholic or Protestant Church either.

Michelangelo portrays the mystery of this yielding in the astounding โ€œPietaโ€.ย  Iโ€™ve stared at that statue quite awhile to receive its deeper meaning.ย  Iโ€™ve thought about all Iโ€™ve read in Dan Brownโ€™s books about religion, symbolism, the sacred feminine, antagonist/protagonist, and the real meaning of Christโ€™s death.

The message I received was the need for โ€œbalanceโ€.ย  There needed to be balance brought to this planet between the male and the female.ย  As Christโ€™s body lay dead in the lap of Mary in the Michelangelos Sculpture, โ€œPietaโ€, I see him yielding to the sacred feminine, to Mother Spirit, to his Mother Mary in the hopes that with the release of his soul, she would come forth and help him bring balance to this troubled sphere.ย  Was that his core message?ย  So once again, the two shall become one.ย  He yielded his body to her, knowing that SHE was the author of his life, from which all life comes, in conjunction with The Father. ย It is the great mystery yet to be unraveled, the great secret yet to be told on Planet Earth, the story that Dan Brown hasnโ€™t told that underpins all spiritual institutions, all symbols, and all religions.ย  Maybe Iโ€™ll have to write a book then.
