IN BRIEF

  • The Facts:
    • Scientists have shown that loving-kindness meditation has a positive impact at the cellular level.
    • The study examined how different types of meditation influenced telomere length, an indicator of physiological aging.
    • Cultivating compassion and friendly feelings towards others slowed the decline of telomeres.
  • Reflect On:Should mindfulness interventions be taught to us from a young age? Should they be included in school curriculums and perhaps implemented in the workplace? Should they be prescribed by doctors in certain circumstances?

In today’s world, where there’s no money there’s no attention. This is especially true when it comes to the medical-industrial complex, and it’s why the science behind health interventions that can be quite beneficial, is not at the forefront of mainstream medicine.

The mind-body connection is one of these health interventions. A study published in 2019 is one of many that has provided proof of just how impactful mindfulness interventions can be on human biology. It’s titled “Loving-kindness meditation slows biological aging in novices: Evidence from a 12-week randomized controlled trial” and was published in the Journal  Psychoneuroendocrinology.

The study suggests that loving-kindness meditation has a measurable positive impact at the cellular level. The study examined how different types of meditation influenced telomere length, which is an indicator of physiological aging.

Telomeres are the protective caps on the ends of the strands of DNA called chromosomes. With time they get shorter. For the most part, the more we age the shorter they get. Other environmental toxins, like smoking and unhealthy habits, also contribute to the shortening of our telomeres. There are also a number of habits and substances that have been shown to slow down this process & even lengthen our telomeres, like fasting for example, which in essence means one is reversing the aging process.

“Chronological age and biological age are not identical. The former is measured in years, whereas the latter is often indexed by telomere length,” the authors explained. “Telomeres progressively shorten with cell division (i.e., aging) in general but may also be replenished or lengthened by the enzyme telomerase.”

The study was 12 weeks long and comprised of 176 participants between the ages of 35-64 years old. All of the participants had little to no meditation experience and were assigned to a 6-week long loving-kindness meditation workshop, a 6-week mindfulness meditation workshop, or a waitlist control group.

Researchers collected blood samples at the beginning and end of the study in order to measure telomere length before and after the meditation intervention.

The mindfulness meditation workshop helped the participants focus on the present moment and develop a non-judgmental attitude. It was simply used to help bring one’s awareness into the present moment, while the loving-kindness meditation workshop focused on helping participants cultivate warm and friendly feelings towards others.

The researchers found that telomere length shortened for everybody, which is normal, but the daily practice of the loving-kindness meditation created a buffer against the decline. The researchers explained that in the loving-kindness group, there was “no significant telomere shortening over time.”

These results correlate with other studies that have looked at meditation and telomere length. Research published in the journal Cancer in 2014 found that telomeres maintained their length in breast cancer survivors who practiced mindfulness meditation. Additionally, a 2018 study in the journal Brain, Behavior, and Immunity found that telomere length actually increased in meditation retreat participants after three weeks.

Feeling gratitude, which can be part of a loving-kindness meditation also changes the molecular structure of the brain. Neuroimaging studies have shown this to be true.

Having an attitude of gratitude changes the molecular structure of the brain, keeps gray matter functioning, and makes us healthier and happier. When you feel happiness, the central nervous system is affected. You are more peaceful, less reactive and less resistant. Now that’s a really cool way of taking care of your well-being.

Other fascinating research in this area has come from the scientists at the HeartMath Institute. Their research has also shown the importance of emotions not just on our own biology, but on others as well.

According to Rollin McCraty, Ph.D., and Director of Research at Heartmath,

Research findings have shown that as we practice heart coherence and radiate love and compassion, our heart generates a coherent electromagnetic wave into the local field environment that facilitates social coherence, whether in the home, workplace, classroom or sitting around a table. As more individuals radiate heart coherence, it builds an energetic field that makes it easier for others to connect with their heart. So, theoretically it is possible that enough people building individual and social coherence could actually contribute to an unfolding global coherence.

Peace, compassion, service to others and positive emotions are often overlooked when it comes to being game-changers for the world and changing our human experience. Despite being so overlooked, they may be the dominant and most important factors for humanity to cultivate if we are going to progress, move forward, and thrive as a human collective.

A portion of our membership, which is what helps to sustain us and keep us going in this world of censorship, is committed to helping people cultivate these feelings. If you’d wish to explore and start a free trial, you can do so here.

The bark of my elm tree

I just noticed the bark of my tree looks like a bunch of lemniscates, infinity symbols, or double helix.

Maybe trees are repositories, like a library of earth DNA. Many people have said that about trees.

More Weekend DNA Entertainment. I Think This Corpse Flower is From Draco.

It looks like a big tongue to me. How indecent. 🙂 Seriously, what is the source of the DNA in this flower? It takes 10 years to bloom and once fully bloomed only lasts for one day. The flower around “the tongue” is black. It’s like the worst marriage ever. LOL.

This is amazing to watch.

It is not surprising that all animals and plants have the majority of their GENES in common. In case you’ve forgotten, because of your android or iphone, we are animals and have plant DNA in us as well. Your phone…does not, although A.I. is patterned after 64/32 binary code which is real intelligence. But your phone has no blood and no soul and can’t heal itself. It never will.

Sure. No problem. But there were so many scientific assumptions in this. I’ll need to watch it tomorrow and take notes. This is not the whole story on how DNA works.

The Tzolkin is this way as well. I see it in the math and in the RNA sequences, the colors and the pulses. It’s the way Time moves.

DNA and Time Merge With Each Other Because They Are the Same

So it is with every event that happens in time. Time is DNA. They merge with each other because they’re one. The tree, stone and human are all composed of DNA. As time evolves DNA evolves and eventually it’s gone.

The memory goes into the akashic record. But memory is an apparition, unmanifested.

Dark is Equal to the Light

It’s Autumn!

At the end of this, they say, “Celebrate your shadows.” We may define shadow differently. A shadows source is the light before it and then it casts a shadow. The dark exists in its own unique state, not in reaction to the light.

People say dark is just the absence of light. No. You could say light is just the absence of the dark! yet I have never heard anyone say that. They think the light is superior and good, not EQUAL to the dark. That is incorrect. All life has its Source in the dark, the dark of the female womb, the dark od the soil. All life starts with the female.

I will honor my darkness as GOOD in that it is the feminine power of fertility, evolutionary DNA in the egg as a seed in the dark soil, the dark red of the blood in THE FLESH that women have known since the dawn of time and that now needs to be honored and replenished on the Earth. The dark of the womb is a GARDEN of LIFE only to be fertilized by men, never to be possessed. Woman possesses HERSELF and then loves her mate and children with all she wants to give. She is never their slave.

In this realization by all women worldwide we can make sure the men know who we are and that we must be known, loved, and protected. We…will…not…objectify ourselves and they will not objectify us and we will not objectify men!!!. Hold your power in balance.

My Peace Lily Blooming is a Good Sign

I’m certain that my plant’s DNA is older than humans’. Like many people, this is a bisexual plant. The shell flower is female and the stamen is male.

Peace lily (officially called Spathiphyllum) is a member of the Araceae (Arum) family and grows in the tropical rainforests of Colombia and Venezuela. The plant was introduced into Europe in 1870. Over 50 different cultivars are known, and virtually all have white bracts with the occasional slight green tinge.

Who Invented the Mechanical Clock?

The mechanical clocks that we hang on our walls and the digital ones on our phones are all just human conceived interpreters of SOLAR SIGNALS from the SUN. They don’t actually receive solar signals accurately. Humans try but because we don’t have an accurate analysis of time, our clocks are never really exact although with our limited knowledge of dimensions humans claim they are exact.

The sun and our Minds control time, not the clock. Clocks have nothing to do with real time. Nature sets time, which we are part of, and it keeps changing since it’s a dimension. If you begin to live in the eternal moment you begin to realize that our Minds and thus our bodies exist in ALL dimensions at the same time which is timelessness. In truth, there is no time at that level. But there IS time just as we DO have a physical body and a physical earth for our learning at this level of perception; even though it’s a type of holographic time illusion. The measurement of the earth rotating around the sun is the beginning of how we measure time on earth and we then set our clocks as an interpretation of it.

I have a problem with that. (of course). Physical movement isn’t the only movement happening as the earth rotates around the sun in the same way that the Tzolkin isn’t only 1D, 2D, and 3D. Time is multidimensional. Even though physicists don’t know exactly how yet nor do they have the math figured out, they have enough math and empirical data to know it’s true.

Mathematical description

The precise definition of the equation of time is EOT = GHA − GMHA

The quantities occurring in this equation are:

Our simple understanding of time right now as far as physics goes is that time is the quantity of photon motion used to measure change in space. My gosh that’s Romper Room. I’ll grant that it includes 3D connecting to 4D there but it’s still locked in by our very, very, very limited 5 senses which causes humans to have extreme, illogical hubris. We think we can see the truth when we don’t even use our intuition or our higher reasoning.

With that cleared up, who invented the mechanical clock that tries to program people’s minds? Yi Xing, a Buddhist monk and mathematician of the Tang Dynasty (618-907A.D.) Given that the earth is billions of years old and humans are only 1 million years old approximately, our minds haven’t been entrenched with this “tool” yet. Mechanical clocks have only been around for about a thousand years. That’s the blink of an eye.

I hope at some point we have a type of Tzolkonic clock that runs on true time; 13:20 and literally does pick up the multidimensional fluctuation not only from the sun but the entire universe. I likely won’t be alive to see it but I trust the universe will allow that to manifest when earth is ready.

Oh wait, that receiver is our bodies. It’s us. We are the interpreters of time because multidimensional time is one with our DNA. Problem solved. I think the real virus are those clocks on the wall, like the T.V. and doctors who tell you “the facts” about your body with authority. Nada. We’re in charge.

A Matter of Opinion

“Some people need to take their own advice instead of endlessly propelling it at others. “The truth” is only “their truth” which is just their opinion. There are facts of science and nature. But when it comes to people, it is all relative. It is a matter of opinion.”-Me, Lisa K. Townsend

Body; Being that is not Visible is QI

“We join spokes together in a wheel,
but it is the center hole
that makes the wagon move.

We shape clay into a pot,
but it is the emptiness inside
that holds whatever we want.

We hammer wood for a house,
but it is the inner space
that makes it livable.

We WORK with being,
but non-being is what we USE.
