We all come into the body and knock around on earth to experiment with choice and to see what will happen if we go one way or the other.
Karma/dharma has no moral judgment. The universe does not judge whether you help or hinder life on earth. But the consequences are either good or bad for you to learn the lesson. That’s not a moral judgment. It’s just nature. If you jump off a cliff, you’ll hit the rocks. That’s not a judgment. It’s nature. It was your choice to jump, not the universe.
