Our brains might sense Earth’s magnetic field just like birds do

What do birds and bees, worms and wolves, fruit flies and fish all have in common? The answer: a magnetic sense that helps them navigate. Now it seems we might do as well.

Joseph Kirschvink at the California Institute of Technology in the US and colleagues found that altering the directions of nearby magnetic fields caused temporary changes in human brain activity.

While sitting still in a dark room, participants’ brain activity was recorded using electroencephalography (EEG), while electromagnetic coils were used to create magnetic fields.

The experiment mimicked the magnetic field changes we are subject to when we move about in the real world, says Kirschvink.

The direction and intensity of Earth’s magnetic field varies by geographical location. For example, at the magnetic north pole, one of two poles where the magnetic field is the strongest, the direction of the field points vertically downwards, into the ground.

In the wider northern hemisphere, this vertical angle changes but the magnetic field is always skewed downwards – meaning that when you hold a compass horizontally, the end pointing north is slightly pulled down. The south-pointing end of some compasses in the northern hemisphere are weighted to compensate for the pull.

Brain change

When the team exposed people to a downward-pointing magnetic field, they saw changes in brain wave patterns when they rotated the field horizontally in a counterclockwise direction .

The team measured alpha waves – present when we are awake but relaxed and with closed eyes – before and after a 100 millisecond change in magnetic field, and found a drop in amplitude in the waves in some people following the rotation.

But no participants showed brain changes when the magnetic field was rotated clockwise, a finding the researchers can’t explain.

Rotating an upwards-pointing magnetic field didn’t cause a change either, which the team speculates may be because the participants’ brains were attuned to the magnetic field of the northern hemisphere, where they conducted the study.  Earth’s magnetic field always points up in the southern hemisphere.

“One interesting way to test this hypothesis would be to reproduce our experiment in the southern hemisphere,” says team member Isaac Hilburn.

Claims that humans can detect magnetic fields has long been a source of controversy, but other researchers are cautiously optimistic about the new work.

The team’s approach parallels studies of magnetoreception in animals, says Nathan Putman at LGL, an ecological research firm based in Bryan, Texas. Putman, who studies marine animals including turtles, says the strongest evidence for a magnetic sense is when animals change their direction of travel in response to an altered field.

The possibility that humans could have a magnetic sense is exciting, but the results will need to be replicated, he says. “A sceptic could argue that there’s a lot of reasons why brain waves might change and it may not have anything to do with orientation.”

It is possible the EEGs could have picked up disruptions from the surrounding environment, says Can Xie at Peking University in China, although the study tried to eliminate this, he says. “It is hard to interpret the EEG signal precisely, which makes it difficult to further explore the underlying molecular mechanism at this stage.”

If the results hold up, it may mean that a magnetic sense played a role in the nomadic lives of our hunter-gatherer ancestors, says Hilburn.

Einstein’s assertion that God does not play dice with the universe has been misinterpreted.

I don’t support the basic tenets of quantum mechanics. Here’s why.

First, I’m in agreement with David Bohm, Physicist and have found much support for Holism in physics.

“The theme in quantum field theory is the unbroken wholeness of the totality of existence, or reality, as an undivided flowing movement without borders. All points in spacetime are connected, as well as anything beyond spacetime. In the implicate order the totality of existence is enfolded within each region of spacetime.”-David Bohm

In a living organism, such as a human body, which I’ve had my hands on for twenty-four years as a deep tissue therapist and Reiki Master, each part moves in the context of the whole, so that it does not exist independently, nor can it be said that it merely interacts with the others, without itself being essentially affected in this relationship. Never mind that in allopathic medicine the patient is mindset hypnotized to believe that their body parts and mind are separate from their body because there are about one hundred different medical specialists that all act like they have expertise over one part of the body. That is an error. The body and its energy work as a whole. If you replace a knee joint with a synthetic robotic one you ruin the energetic flow of the whole body as it no longer has that essential, natural qi in the knee joint to fuel all other parts of the body. There are always options to cutting and drugging.

Second, “Einsteins theory of Relativity that to some has been proven now, was the first indication in physics of the need to question the mechanistic order. It implied that no coherent concept of an independently existent particle is possible, neither one in which the particle would be an extended body nor one in which it would be a dimensionless point.”-David Bohm

Third, the fact of synchronicity running our universe and our bodies is being handily fleshed out by new apps and a new understanding of human time oracles, genetics, epigenetics, and real intelligence, especially by me in my books “Time is DNA” and “Sound to Light-The Tones of Creation”. There is a big threat here to the field of science because they are so rigid, controlling, and profit driven. There is no profit in wholeness and wellness in their mind. But that’s been coming because they base their existence on “time is money” values, not equity, justice, gender balance of power, or basic human compassion. They tend to like the random, indeterminate, chaos of gambling but their addictive, controlling side likes laws and determinism to make sure they get theirs and keep their territory.

““Fundamental indeterminism would mean an end to science,” worries Andrew S. Friedman who supposed that indeterminism is a prerequisite for human free will. Either we are all gears in the clockwork, so that everything we do is preordained, or we are the agents of our own destiny, in which case the universe must not be deterministic after all.”

There is no prerequisite for free will. It’s a universal fact. It doesn’t matter who believes it or not. But it does have to be chosen by the individual to act on it for something to change. We are always at choice.

It’s neither of those nor is it that simple. Quantum mechanics seeks to reduce life down to quanta that work predictably, but we do not live in a mechanistic universe. We live in a synchronistic universe of evolving free will creatures, species at many different levels who all affect one another.

The universe is not clockwork or a craps table. There are no laws, but instead habits and it is not random. Nature has habits and tendencies, like humans. It exists in harmonic synchronicity where we navigate destiny, were born into with free will choices, light, or shadow, usually a bit of both with one predominant. Synchronicity is observable and predictable, probably within a day only. It is intuitive, rational, mathematical, and pattern dominated. It is both deterministic based on choices and karma and indeterministic or random when no one is paying attention which is often. Then it functions by default.

Why simple? That’s a bit patronizing of mother nature.

That’s because, as the Maya Oracle has taught and the NASA van Allen Belts Project show us in the earth’s magnetosphere, that our minds control stuff. Special Ops Military knows that too and teaches it to soldiers and the CIA. The Van Allen Project saw the Magnetosphere move as soon as they looked at it. As soon as we focus on something it changes.

It’s not magic. It’s physics. Reality is not individual particles in truth, but fields of energy. Field equations must be nonlinear because life is nonlinear. In fact, it is spiral, radial, and polarized, like evolving RNA which is what we consist of in all our trillion cells.

We are seeking a unified field theory and I believe an examination of the time oracles and changing the time coordinates in our minds AND IN OUR HUMAN TOOLS, especially A.I., including binary computer code, will get us closer to that unification so that life on earth will be safer.

This basically says they know nothing.

I hypothesize, of course, with data, that Time is manifested DNA so TIME IS PROTEINS that SPIRAL or dance to sound. Like a whirling dervish, or a two year old spinning in circles to get dizzy because it’s fun. That’s literally time. The speed that WE spin, or a planet or an animal or rocks, depends on how much fun the DNA wants to have. I doubt the scientists will figure this out. I have. Synchronicity proves it.

White Dog Time Portal is a polar kin. All White Dog kin, people, generate TIME from the N. pole. Not physically, ASTRALLY, in their Astral body which is 4D and just as literal, maybe more so than the very fast-moving, dense flesh body. The laureates’ research builds on the work of John Stewart Bell, a physicist who strove in the 1960s to understand whether particles, having flown too far apart for there to be normal communication between them, can still function in concert, also known as quantum entanglement.

According to quantum mechanics, particles can exist simultaneously in two or more places. They do not take on formal properties until they are measured or observed in some way. By taking measurements of one particle, like its position or “spin,” a change is observed in its partner, no matter how far away it has traveled from its pair.”

But physicist Lee Smolin says Quantum MECHANICS is incorrect. And Physicist Fritjof Capra says that at subatomic levels particles don’t exist. Is the Nobel Prize politicized to advance A.I. and the machine-world? Why’d ya do it?

Oh wait, they used duct tape in the experiment, seriously, read down the paragraph. LOL. This smacks of technospheric interests. I guess I don’t want a Nobel Prize for “Time is DNA”. It would smack too much of love and healing in the Noosphere anyway.

We Already Knew This, Right Followers? It’s Ancient Mayan Science


The kicker is, however, when an observation device is set up to observe what slit the particles goes through, the particle then only goes through one, thus collapsing the wave pattern and forming a pattern that is representative of the particle only going through one slit. In other words, the behaviour of the matter changes when we decide to measure it, almost acting as if it was aware that it’s being watched.

This proves what I’ve contended for a year now, that OUR MINDS, the collective of ALL the sentient DNA on the planet, billions of humans, the wonderful animals and plants in the ocean, on the surface, and IN the earth underground, changes the magnetosphere measured by the Schumann Resonance. This is basic physics folks! We are NOT at the butt end of astronomical movement from the sun, earth, and local system! We are affecting it by paying attention to it. And God Almighty, what happens when we focus on our own bodies? We really change them. It is not minor. we are not victims abused by the sun and destined for a firery death and the species will continue on.

What happened in the past can change the future and vice versa. Or, what happens on the CA (Civilizational Advance) strand changes the AC (Aboriginal Continuity) strand of our DNA. It’s in my book, Time is DNA.

Who were the founding mothers of quantum theory? Gee, probably all mothers since quanta are the smallest particles possible, and we’re the ones that conceive and make them in our bodies until they turn into a human, automatically? Oh, but no biggie.

Consciousness is fundamental  and it is directly intertwined with what we call physical material matter. You cannot explain consciousness in terms of the existing fundamentals like space, time, mass,  and charge. As a result, the logical thing to do is postulate whether consciousness itself is something fundamental to the existence of reality, to view consciousness itself as one of these fundamentals, but I digress.

Does time exist? The answer to this question may seem obvious: of course it does! Just look at a calendar or a clock.

The last sentence…absolute indolence. I can’t help it. Clocks and calendars are like McDonalds. “Food exists. Just look at McDonald’s!”

It barely passes for real food. It’s just a tool to keep you distracted from eating real food. Clocks and calendars keep you from owning your own time which is YOUR BODY AND MIND. They keep you distracted from Timelessness which IS real in the CNS, the central nervous system. Time is DNA and DNA can jump dimensions and densities which means we can jump densities.
