Since 1960 they’ve had this. No headlines or announcement from SpaceX that they are using this but they probably are. Their ship is even called Dragon which are the Draco ET. His mom is Red 1 Dragon so he’s all lined up.
Charles Hall (USAF whistleblower) claims 1st atomic powered spacecraft were developed in 1960s with help of Tall White extraterrestrials out of Nellis AFB. Atomic engines also used in TR-3Bs from 1980s. SSPs have been using atomic engines for a long time.
